1. About Design Vault

Design Vault provides educational resources and design guidance for homeowners navigating new construction, renovations, and home improvement projects. Our offerings include downloadable digital guides, free resources, educational Journal articles, curated product information, and virtual design consultations. These resources are intended to help homeowners make more informed design decisions and are not a substitute for full service interior design, architectural, engineering, or construction services.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or purchasing our products and services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or otherwise legally authorized to enter into a binding agreement. You agree to provide accurate information when completing purchases, booking consultations, or submitting forms and to use our website only for lawful purposes. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our website and services.

3. Website Access and Acceptable Use

You may access our website and publicly available educational content for personal, noncommercial purposes. You agree not to interfere with the operation or security of our website, attempt unauthorized access to restricted areas, use automated systems to improperly collect content, or reproduce and distribute our materials without permission. Design Vault reserves the right to restrict access to its website or services when necessary to protect its content, systems, or other users, subject to applicable law.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain website availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Website features, content, and products may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion.

4. Digital Products and Purchases

Design Vault offers digital products, including downloadable PDF guides and educational resources. Product descriptions outline the general contents and intended purpose of each guide. By purchasing a product, you acknowledge that you have reviewed its description and understand that it is delivered digitally rather than as a physical product.

Prices are displayed on our website and may change without notice. The price applicable to your purchase is the price presented at checkout when your order is placed. Applicable taxes and additional charges, if any, will be disclosed during checkout. Payment is required in full before digital products are delivered.

Purchases are processed through Base44 Payments, powered by Wix, using a secure hosted checkout. Design Vault does not directly collect or store complete payment card information.

5. Digital Delivery and Access

Following successful payment, digital products are delivered electronically to the email address provided during checkout. Delivery is generally automated, although processing or technical delays may occasionally occur. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address and ensuring they can receive emails from Design Vault.

Download links may be unique to a purchase and may be subject to security restrictions, expiration periods, or download limits. Customers are encouraged to download and save their purchased materials for personal reference. If a delivery email does not arrive or a download link is not functioning, please contact whitley@thedesignvault.co for technical assistance.

Design Vault will make reasonable efforts to resolve verified delivery issues. Technical support does not include additional design services, individualized recommendations, or modifications to purchased materials.

6. All Sales Are Final

All purchases made through Design Vault are final and nonrefundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law. This includes digital guides, downloadable resources, and virtual design consultations.

Because digital products are delivered electronically and consultation bookings reserve dedicated service time, Design Vault does not offer discretionary refunds, returns, exchanges, or store credits. This applies to purchases made in error, duplicate purchases, changes of mind, unused products or services, and dissatisfaction with the content or guidance provided.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

7. Digital Product Licensing and Permitted Use

When you purchase a digital product from Design Vault, you receive a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to download and use that product for your own personal residential project. This license permits you to save and print copies for personal reference and to consult the materials throughout your project.

Purchasing a guide does not transfer ownership of its content or intellectual property. You may not resell, reproduce for distribution, sublicense, publish, upload, or share purchased materials with other individuals, businesses, or online platforms. You may not incorporate our guides or worksheets into products or services offered for sale, distribute them to paying clients, or use them as commercial educational resources without prior written permission.

Design Vault retains ownership of its original materials and reserves the right to take appropriate action against unauthorized reproduction or distribution.

8. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Unless otherwise indicated, the original content published by Design Vault, including digital guides, worksheets, Journal articles, written materials, graphics, illustrations, website design elements, and branding, belongs to Design Vault or is used with appropriate authorization. These materials are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may share links to publicly available pages on our website, but you may not copy, republish, modify for redistribution, or commercially exploit our content without written permission. References to third-party products, photographs, trademarks, or brands remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Virtual Design Consultations

Design Vault offers virtual design consultations intended to help homeowners work through questions, selections, and decisions related to their home projects. Consultations are scheduled for 60 minutes unless otherwise specified at booking and are intended to be conversational, collaborative working sessions.

Consultations do not include formal design plans, construction drawings, specifications, written recommendations, purchasing services, or follow-up documentation unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement. Clients are responsible for taking their own notes and independently confirming any information or recommendations discussed.

Consultation fees are final and nonrefundable, except where required by applicable law. Missed appointments, unused consultation time, changes of mind, or dissatisfaction with the session do not qualify for discretionary refunds or credits. Appointment changes may be requested through the scheduling process and are subject to availability and any scheduling conditions disclosed at booking. Rescheduling is not guaranteed.

If Design Vault is unable to provide a scheduled consultation, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative appointment or provide any remedy required by applicable law.

10. Educational Purpose and Professional Disclaimer

Design Vault's content, products, and consultations are provided for educational and informational purposes. While our resources are informed by professional interior design experience, they are not intended to replace project-specific advice from licensed or otherwise qualified professionals.

Every property, construction project, and renovation involves unique conditions. Design Vault does not independently verify the structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or code compliance requirements of individual projects through its general educational products or virtual consultations.

Customers are responsible for verifying measurements, dimensions, material suitability, product specifications, installation requirements, construction methods, safety standards, and applicable building codes with the appropriate professionals before purchasing materials or beginning work.

Design Vault does not guarantee that any recommendation, product, finish, or design approach will be appropriate for every home or produce a particular result.

11. Product Recommendations and Third-Party Services

Our website, guides, Journal, and consultations may reference products, manufacturers, retailers, contractors, or other third-party services. These references are intended to provide educational information and potential options for consideration.

Design Vault does not manufacture or control third-party products and cannot guarantee their availability, pricing, dimensions, finishes, quality, performance, shipping timelines, or installation requirements. Product information may change without notice, and customers are responsible for confirming current specifications directly with the relevant supplier before purchasing.

Design Vault is not responsible for the actions, policies, products, or services of independent third parties. Any purchase or agreement entered into with an outside retailer, contractor, or service provider is governed by that provider's terms.

Where affiliate links, sponsored content, or compensated recommendations are included, applicable disclosures will be provided.

12. Customer Responsibility and Project Outcomes

By using Design Vault's resources or consultations, you acknowledge that decisions regarding your home, purchases, construction, and installation remain your responsibility. You are responsible for selecting qualified professionals, obtaining necessary permits and approvals, confirming product compatibility, and reviewing project details before work begins.

Design Vault is not responsible for construction errors, incorrect measurements, installation issues, contractor performance, product defects, project delays, unexpected expenses, or outcomes resulting from decisions made using our educational materials or consultations, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Design Vault makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, useful information and maintain reliable website functionality. However, our website, educational materials, and digital products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that our website will operate without interruption or errors, that all information will remain current, or that the use of our products and services will produce a particular result.
